It is an 18th-century listed monument, 100 m from the Reformed church, and fits into the same walk.
About the place
The church was built in the 18th century, when Marghita's Catholic community was re-established. The historic monuments list dates it to 1772. It has a single tower on the facade with an onion-shaped cap and a round window, and a statue of the Virgin Mary in a niche by the entrance.
As the number of Catholics grew, a new Catholic church was started in 1993 and consecrated in 2000; the old church remained a monument. It is 100 m from the Reformed church and 150 m from the town hall.
